It’s time to welcome Kappa Sigma Fraternity back on the Banks of the Raritan. The Gamma-Upsilon Colony will be receiving their charter on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

We’re happy to invite all Kappa Sigma Brothers to join in the celebration and ceremonies that day. The day will be spent initiating the 61 members of the Colony on the campus of Rutgers University; the exact location is still being confirmed by the University and details will be forthcoming. At night, we will gather in the Brunswick Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick for the Chapter’s Installation Banquet. Here is a rough agenda for the day for those who would like to attend.

8:00 AM - Arrival of Ritual teams & Colony members

9:00 AM - Opening Ceremony & first initiation

3:00 PM - Model Initiation

5:00 PM - Closing Ceremony

If you are interested in attending the Initiation Ceremonies, please contact DGM Brandon Leung (Gamma-Upsilon, Rutgers University, ‘11).

If you’d like to attend the banquet, you can secure tickets here. From now until 11:55 PM on April 11, 2023, the cost is $100/ticket. After that, the price per ticket goes up to $120/ticket. You can also donate towards covering an undergraduate’s ticket as well, if you are feeling charitable.

The dress code during both events are suit & tie. Unfortunately, you will be turned away if you are not dressed properly for the Initiation.

Brother Leung is working with The Hyatt and The Heldrich to secure a block of rooms and more information will be coming.
